Do you live outside Germany and have Dupuytren’s contracture? With a Dupuytren video consultation, you can speak with me in English, from home. I am a hand surgeon in Nuremberg and specialise in Dupuytren’s disease. This online consultation is the first step toward the right treatment, without a long journey in advance.

Who is the online consultation for?

A video consultation is useful if you:

would like an expert assessment of your hand before planning a trip to Nuremberg,
are unsure which treatment suits your stage of the disease, for example percutaneous needle fasciotomy or surgery,
have already been treated and have questions about recurrence or aftercare.

How the Dupuytren video consultation works

Request: Send your request using the contact form on this website.
Registration: You will receive a short patient data form and our privacy statement. Please complete both and return them. This allows us to document your consultation and invoice it correctly.
Appointment: I will arrange a date and time with you personally.
Consultation: The video call takes place on a secure, data-protection-compliant platform. Please have your hand in good light, and keep any previous medical reports or X-rays at hand.

What a video consultation can and cannot do

In many cases, I can see on camera how far your fingers bend and which cords are involved. That is often enough to assess the stage of Dupuytren’s contracture and to discuss treatment options. A video consultation does not replace a physical examination. If treatment is planned, I will examine your hand in person in Nuremberg before we start.

Experience in Dupuytren's disease

I have treated Dupuytren’s disease for more than three decades. I have also contributed to international research, for example as co-author of the POINT X study on collagenase treatment, published in the Journal of Hand Surgery (European Volume).
